With the aggressive marketing by Universities and colleges especially in developing countries to lure students, it is hard to know which one will cater for your needs. However, there are some basic steps that you could take in order to prepare and protect yourself when embarking in a new adventure like studying abroad.

Know everything beforehand

Make sure you get all details printed out and in hard copy about everything you could possibly find out about your new university, accommodation and different seasons in the new country. It is better to be well prepared than unpleasantly surprised. It is always helpful to find out prior to moving whether there are any supermarkets close by, how close your accommodation is to the main university campus and how reliable the bus service is (Sometimes it is better to use a bike as it will be more cheaper for you).
